Overview

Warung Nasi Urang Sunda, nestled in the bustling area of Serpong Utara, Tangerang Selatan, offers an authentic taste of Sundanese cuisine true to West Java’s heritage. This humble yet vibrant eatery embraces the tradition of simple, home-cooked flavors through a wide array of aneka lauk—carefully prepared side dishes that pair perfectly with fragrant white rice. The menu’s highlights, such as ayam goreng kremes and sate kulit, come alive with accompanying sambal varieties, including sambal bawang and sambal terasi, that are not only flavorful but generously served, a feature not often found in similar establishments.

Visitors can expect a sensory experience reminiscent of Sundanese dining in the highlands—especially Puncak Bogor—with fresh ingredients and bold, earthy flavors. Signature dishes like karedok and sayur asem add depth with their vibrant freshness and tang, while es kelapa and es teh manis offer refreshing reprieves from the tropical heat. The restaurant’s informal setup, offering both chair-and-table seating and lesehan options, encourages a relaxed, communal atmosphere ideal for families and groups seeking comfort food rooted in cultural authenticity.

Though the space can become quite crowded on weekends, indicative of its popularity, the cleanliness and ample parking area contribute positively to the overall dining experience. The lack of climate control is a minor trade-off for the quality and value found here, especially if visited during cooler evening hours. Warung Nasi Urang Sunda caters primarily to those craving genuine Sundanese flavors at an affordable price point, making it a favored destination for locals and visitors alike who appreciate culinary heritage presented without pretense.

Taste is sunda. Very similiar taste, vibe and place that you can find if you were to go to Puncak Bogor. The sambal is champ. Ayam goreng is always a go to choice. Don't forget to order iced drinks as this place is not situated in highland though

A Sundanese (West Java) style family restaurant. Great value for money. We dine with 5 people and it only cost us less than 300K IDR. The food were delicious and the ingredients were fresh. Their chili 'sambal' was delicious. They offer 3 options for sambal and you can take as much as you like, compared to other similar restaurant that only gave limited amount of sambal. Clean dining area and large parking area.

The cuisine is all great and home-cooked. We prefer Ayam Kampung Goreng Kremes, which tastes great and complements with Sambal Bawang. The pricing remains affordable, although it is quite hot; I recommend visiting at night for dinner.

A pick your meal and have it cooked Sundanese restaurant. Food is great and affordable. Offers chair and table seating or lesehan. The atmosphere is a bit underwhelming because the restaurant is crowded and lacks climate control (fan or AC). Really recommend the ayam goreng kremes.

All Deep Fried & very crunchy with kremesan. There's 3 kinds of sambals: sweet terasi sambal, tomato sambal, & shallot sambal. I think for this time this is the most yummiest sundanese restaurant in BSD area, although very hot on the afternoon.

BEWARE: THE SAMBEL JEBLEH IS ADDICTIVE. Biteorbye? Bite. Why you will love it: 1. The sambal jebleh/sambel dower is the real reason we come back. It's crazy spicy but that's really the appeal. They use bird eye's chilli/cabe rawit with the right amount of garlic. You only need one tablespoon, that's enough to burn your tongue (in the best way possible). 2. The food is good, but the taste is plain and really anywhere else is going to taste similar. Again, you come back because of the sambal not their fried food. -Ayam bakar: but I asked it to be fried, because I like the hint of sweetness -Sate udang: quite large size and quite fresh -Sate ati: not my favourite, I prefer it to be crispier and more flavourful -Bakwan jagung: nice companion for your main dish, but I prefer my bakwan a tad bit sweeter -Oncom: this one is special, get this. They have balanced the taste of oncom to perfection. Order this. -Urap: generous coconut and really rich taste. Definitely get this. 3. For a warung this is quite clean and since it's semi-outdoor you feel safer during these crazy times. What could be improved: Just a tip, this place can be super full - a testament to how good it is. Comfort food type of good. So go earlier and avoid lunch peak hours. Menu: Ayam bakar but fried (20K): 7.8/10 Udang goreng (20K): 7.8/10 Sate ati goreng (15K): 7.0/10 Bakwan jagung goreng (6K): 7.2/10 Oncom (7K): 8.3/10 Urap (7K): 8.3/10 Sambel jebleh (free): 8.5/10 Es jeruk (10K): 8.0/10 Place: Warung Nasi Urang Sunda, Serpong
